But during the partial eclipse before and after Totality, wearing specially designed solar eclipse glasses, solar binoculars, or solar telescopes is essential. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Solar eclipse glasses, binoculars, and telescopes must comply with the ISO 12312-2 international standard. The standard allows only 0.0032% of light to pass through the filter, making it safe to view the Sun with the naked eye. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse, the <a href=\"https:\/\/eclipse.aas.org\/eye-safety\/iso-certification\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">American Astronomical Society<\/a> found that Amazon was flooded with counterfeit solar eclipse glasses claiming to be compliant. The AAS compiled a list of <a href=\"https:\/\/eclipse.aas.org\/resources\/solar-filters\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">verified suppliers<\/a> of safe and compliant solar eclipse glasses to combat the dangerously fake glasses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>All my recommendations for solar eclipse glasses, solar binoculars, and solar telescopes below are made by suppliers verified by the American Astronomical Society. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Solar eclipse glasses are the most essential thing to have while viewing the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse.
